Virginia Lynch Graf Challenges Shelley Moore Capito for 2nd Congressional Seat

Former JCODW president, Virginia Lynch Graf, has pre-filed for the 2nd Congressional Seat in West Virginia.  A successful educator, her platform hinges on education, innovation and celebration. Those three ideas form concentric units, the foundation for success in life.  Innovation is the way to create jobs and to succeed.  Innovation is stroked by education and imagination, an outgrowth of celebration. Education provides the knowledge and discipline required to innovate. Success in studies, family and community form a wholesome way to celebrate. Education, innovation and celebration are mutually giving and receiving. Dr. Graf will work on concrete ways to translate the three essentials of life into practical steps for success.

After examining a 10 year record of Capito, it is obvious that the Congresswoman needs to be replaced. Over this long time, CHIP (Children's Health Insurance Program) is the only program she supported to benefit West Virginia residents.  Her negative votes demonstrate her lack of concern for her constituents.

Capito's votes hurt West Virginians. She voted against Health Care Reform, Lilly Ledbetter Bill (compensation for women who had been victimes of pay discrimination,) helping families in foreclosure, Helping Families Save Their Homes Act, Student Aid, Clean Energy. These recent bills aimed to help middle class residents of West Virginia were all opposed by Capito.

Graf has been an activist in the community and is committed to West Virginia.  She has a firm grasp on national and social justice issues.  Her giraffe logo underscores her committment.  She will stick her neck out for West Virginia and asks for West Virginians to do the same for her. Ginny Graf recognizes she is a dark horse, but she reminds everyone that Abraham Lincoln was too.  She is counting on support from her friends in the eastern Panhandle. Despite party affiliation,  those who know her support her candidacy.

Your ideas and concerns are important to Virginia Lynch Graf who can be reached at 304-728-2829, or grafforcongress@gmail.com  Her website, Graf for Congress will be ready shortly.
