Patrick is married to Beverly Jean (Coffinberger) Murphy, two children: Tonya
and Michael, four grandchildren: Eryn, Ian, Aidan, and Ella
Patrick Hale Murphy was born in Elkins, WV. He grew up in Martinsburg with a few early years in
Berkeley Springs, WV.He grated from Martinsburg High in 1966, and then enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps, where he served from
1966 to 1970. He was honorably discharged as a Sergeant. He gratuated from Shepherd College in 1974 with a B.A. in Elementary
Education. He taught in Berkeley and Jefferson counties. He is now retired.
